He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Benton and Maxine Benton Chastain (Stultz); his mother-in-law Louise Ackley (Dick) of Heavener; and his pet Molly. He is survived by: his wife Frances Benton; his sons, Todd Benton (Christie) of Woodward, Van Benton (Monika) of Heavener and Scott Benton (Tangela) of Burns Flat, Oklahoma.; his sister Audria Quisenberry (John) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; his brother-in-law Larry Wright (Teresa) of Ft. Smith; and his siblings, Jim Berry of Woodward and Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial contribution be made to the City of Heavener for its captured canine facilities, 103 E. Ave. B, Heavener, Oklahoma 74937.
