He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Johnston and Lou Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Johnston of Heavener; his sons, Bob D. Johnston (Lisa) of Conser and Oklahoma Bryan C. Johnston (Becky) of Lewisville; his brother Bobby G. Johnston of Conser; his grandchild Shannon Ward (Aaron) of Ft; his husband Michael of Conser; his great grandchildren, Garrett Ward, Lexi Ward, Madision, MaKayla, Maci, Mason Standifer, Ava Johnston, Sammy Lewallen, Illiana Lewallen, Jordin Several and Rylee Johnston Several; and also, Oklahoma Robert Johnston (Amber) of Poteau, Oklahoma Jeff Lewallen (Nati) of Dallas, Texas Jason Johnston (Lauren) of Lewisville and Texas Jennifer Johnston of Lewisville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Gideon Bibles be donated in honor of Charles.
