He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Bernasky and Josephine "Josie" Bernasky (Sitter); his siblings, Wallace Bernasky, Robert Bernasky, Johnny Bernasky, Delores Klein and Kathleen Woosley; his parents-in-law, Monroe Shann and Juanita Shann; and his nephew Mike Shann.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Bernasky (Shann); his daughters, Melanie Friestad, Jackie Cooper, Courtney Bernasky and Stephanie Pixler; his son-in-law Mark Friestad; his grandchildren, Kelsy (Heath Brownell), Gunner Davenport, Sami Jo (Austin), Zac Friestad, Toni Waldrup and Ava Friestad; his nephews, Tyler Shann and Chase Shann; his sisters, Elizabeth Ann (Lloyd Fletcher), Molly Homer and Mary Stizza; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce (Charlotte Shann) and Phyllis Hubbard. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
