He is survived by: his wife Cindy Owens; his children, James Dale Montgomery (Renee) and Jessica Miller (Wesley); his grandchildren, Dace Gragg, Colton Montgomery, Weston Montgomery, Dakota Montgomery, Raven Walton, Alyssa Miller and Shaylynn Miller; his great grandchildren, Kabyn Montgomery, Kacen Montgomery, Haven Gragg, Wrigley Gragg, Nora Jane Gragg, Madilyn Walton and Kristina Walton; his nephew Greg Owens (Amy); his niece Lisa Russell (Ermon); his mother-in-law Betty Spears; and his siblings-in-law, Glenda Zike and David Spears.
