He was predeceased by : his parents, Inez Sadie Brashear and William Morris Brashear; his sisters, Silvia Ann and Judy Gail Brashear; his nephew Corey Dillon Brashear; and his great-nephew Colter Donovan Eaton.

He is survived by : his daughter Tina Hoherz; his granddaughters, Rayna Zimmerman (Josh Zimmerman), Harley Holland and Micah Hoherz; his great grandchild Hayden Zimmerman; and his siblings, Margaret Smith (Vernon Smith) and Thurman Brashear (Kathy Brashear). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
