He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Overton and Mary Overton; his wife Nelvenia Overton; his son Curtis Overton; his daughter-in-law Nancy Overton; his granddaughter Chani Overton; and his siblings, LaQuita Cole, Roy Overton and Earl Overton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Smith (Tony) and Carla Hein (Joe); his grandchildren, Taos Smith (Dasha), Tucson Smith (Heather), Tekoa Smith (Brooke), Cash Overton (Joana), Austin Hein and Sydney Hein; his great grandchildren, Cordelia Smith, Stirling Smith, Ryker Smith, Hartley Smith, Colt Smith, Gauge Overton, Daxton Overton, Oakley Ferguson and Kensi Ferguson; and his siblings, Ace Overton, Grady Overton, Nelda Hendrix, Neva Jorgenson and Kermit Overton. He is also survived by "Grandad" by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wayne's name can be made to the Hardesty Senior Citizens and will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
