He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Bowles (Washburn) and Ernest Bowles; his wife Joanna; his daughter Carla Brown; and his sister Barbara Reimann.
He is survived by: his daughter Sonya; his son-in-law Clay Frantz; his grandson Tye Frantz of Hardesty; his brothers, Morris Bowles (Betty) of Hardesty and Richard "Dick" Bowles (Juanita); and his sisters-in-law, Marlene Rider and Katherine Seale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
