He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilbert and Icee Lee Shepard (Parker); his former wives, Geraldine Hatfield and Dorothy Shepard; his wife Geraldine Shepard; and his son Robert Shepard.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Pauline Price; and his children, John Shepard of Yukon, Oklahoma, Lona Horton of Butler, Oklahoma and Dorothy Shepard of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
