It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Leslee Pewo of Hammon, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Goose and Peace Chief Edwin Pewo; his wife Susie; his son Cheyenne Pewo; and his sisters, Evelyn Gayle Highwalker and Johnnie Sue Greeley.
He is survived by: his stepmother Margie Ann Pewo; his children, Melinda Goose, Sonya Howling Buffalo, Nicole Racelis, Hiram Howling Buffalo and Clinton (Brian Richard Pewo); and his siblings, Virginia Pewo (Boyd Williams) of Elk City, OK, Edwina Bullcoming (Wilbur) of Hammon, OK, Pollie Goodman (John) of Minnesota, Kim Kauley of Colorado, Richard Pewo, Tyrone Pewo (Loris), Kenneth Pewo of Hammon, OK, Melvin Miles of El Reno, OK, Nathan Standingwater of Hammon and Mitch Walking Elk of Minnesota.
