He is survived by: his wife Rowena Joy Hughes; his daughter Debra Nickelson Penner (Sandy); his brother Willis Nickelson; his siblings-in-law, Helen Nickelson and Boyd Hughes (Nelwyn); his grandchildren, Jessica Penner Middlebrooks (Grant), Jay Penner (Cheyenne), Jordan Penner (Lily), Lance Gray (Julie), Shawn Gray (Courtney), Sierra Gray Boyd (John), Lacey Sparks Sawvel (Sam) and Dakota Sparks; and his great grandchildren, Austyn Middlebrooks, Whitlee Middlebrooks, Maverick Penner, Chloe Penner of Nora Gray, J. B, Boyd, Emery Boyd and Daxton Sawvel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
