She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandparents, Rollin and Rhoda Whitney; her parents, Leon C Whitney and Dottie Viola Whitney (Gurwell); her husband DeWitt "Dud" Smith; her children, Larry (Cheryl) of Fresno, TX, David (Tammy) of Katy, TX, Russell (Cheryl) of Liberal, KS, Leslie (Ta), Steven (Sonya) of Goodwell, OK and Malenda Line (Beau) of Elkhart, KS; her sisters, Dorothy Whitney Hall of Salinas, CA and Madene McCormick of Oklahoma City, OK; and also, Sam and Mary Gurwell. She was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home for Dunaway Manor or to Northridge Free Will Baptist Church, Guymon.
