She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Sledge and Vennie Sledge (Robinson); her husband Howard Shores; her daughter Sherry Black; and her brothers, Wayne and Earl Sledge.
She is survived by: her siblings, Fred Sledge of Guymon, Peggy Stewart of Childress and Vella Gum of Bracketville, Texas; and her son-in-law David Black of Guymon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
