He was predeceased by: his former wife Sharon Wetmore Gum; his parents, Glen R. Gum and Virginia Bruce Gum Pio; his parents-in-law, Halsey and Mary Belle Adams Wetmore; his stepfather Julian J. Pio; his mother-in-law Peggy Hamilton; his brother Ted Gum; his brother-in-law Tim Wetmore; his grandparents, Ernest, Bessie Ingels Gum, Tommie and Mary Lawson Bruce; and his stepsiblings, Douglas Pio and Julie Pio Donnelly.
He is survived by: his wife Sarena Hamilton Gum of Amarillo; his daughters, Heidi Nunley (Jay) of Hooker, Maggi Stavig (Randy) of Guymon, Merri Dupree (Devon) of Butler, Oklahoma, Manda Holcomb (Trey) of Ft. Worth, Texas and Meredith Garcia of Amarillo; his siblings, Jerry Gum (Tammy) of Hardesty, Carolyn Whiteside (Joe) of Amarillo and Shirley Smith of Guymon; his stepsister Karyn Sue Pio Lively of Guymon; and his grandchildren, Rhett, Kip, Thane Nunley of Hooker, Addison, Tinley Stavig of Guymon, Annie, Emma, Creek Dupree of Butler, Oklahoma, Anna Miller and Robert Hudson of Amarillo. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends and co-workers.
