He is survived by: his wife Vonalene; his sons, Matthew Dawes (Brenda) of Stillwater and Douglas Dawes of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Emma, Mary, Ava, Emmitt and Logan; and his great grandchildren, Aspen and Scout. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
