Walter Gonzalez Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Gonzalez (Guthrie, Oklahoma), born in Escondido, California, who passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends.

Walter was a force of nature. He was brilliant mind with a charismatic personality. He was known to be the life of the party everywhere he went.

He is survived by his son Austin, his parents, Jesus and Maria; his sisters, Marilyn, Melissa, and Janet; and nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by family, friends, and colleagues.

“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.”

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 13th 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Logan County Sheriff’s Office (216 South Broad Street, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044).

Upon returning home a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 22nd 2022 at 1:30 PM at The Center Church (1305 Deodar Rd, Escondido, California 92026).
