We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2022, at the age of 78, Sherry Ann Canning of Guthrie, Oklahoma, born in Cherokee, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Murel Bontrager and Maycel Bontrager; her husband G. W.; her parents-in-law, Oliver and Mary Canning; her daughter-in-law Tracie Canning; her siblings-in-law, Billy Canning and Tava Bontrager; her great grandchild Astrid Pierson; her nieces, Beverly Armour and Kristina Canning; and her nephew Roy Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Shelley Berryman (Robert) of Guthrie and George "Buddy" Canning of Piedmont; her grandchildren, Brittney Jarnagin (Brody) of Guthrie, Brayden of Guthrie, Brianna Berryman of Guthrie, Brooklyn Van Groll (Brandon) of Guthrie, Braxton Canning (Kristie) of Clarksville, TN, Camber Canning of Piedmont, OK, Christa Otterman of Denver, CO, Christan Marchant (Beau) of San Diego, CA and Brittany Torres (Jerri) of Guthrie; her great grandchildren, Khloe, Kayden Torres, Rosie, Remi Van Groll, Eloise Pierson, Bryson Jarnagin, Henry Marchant and Briggs Caughman; and her brothers, Steve and Stan Bontrager.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 402 E. Noble Guthrie, OK 73044.
