He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Chappell and Georgia Chappell; his stepmother Marjorie Chappell; his wife Augusta Chappell; and his stepson Jerry Oldenburg.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Pam Albright of Yukon, Judy Hughes (Jeff) of Oklahoma City and Scotty Oldenburg of Kingfisher. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several cousins.
