He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Backhaus and Ida E. Backhaus (Tisher); his wife Lois Johnson; his daughter Marcella Ann Meador (Frank); his brother Walter Albert Backhaus; his children, Carol Joann DeLaPena of Dallas, Janet Lois Drumright (James) of Tulsa, Linda Kaye Frohock (Joey) of Virginia and Marvin Paul Backhaus (Angela Lee) of Guthrie; his niece Laura Payne; and his nephew Walter Eugene Backhaus. He was also cherished by 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren Other relatives and a host of friends.
