He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley T. Payne and Erma L. Payne (Turhune); his former wife Shelly D. Payne; and his sister Victoria Payne. He is survived by: his daughter Cherity Sumo (David); his bonus daughters, Staci Hinton and Kaci Barton; his grandchildren, Domonique Payne (Alexus), Whitney Nelson (A. J.), D. K. Sumo IV (Jaida), DaLynn Robertson (Micah), Magnus Scott, T. C. (Nikki Ellis), Ezekiel, Aryanna, Elijah, Elisha, Royalty and Miracle Sumo; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Kamrynn, Braylen, Harmony, Nevaeh, Alaeny, Andrew, Von and Jireh; and his siblings, Teresa Milligan (Rick) and Kim Brooks (Suzy).
