She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil F. Burchardt and Rachel C. Burchardt (Griffey); her husband Vernon Eugene Martin; and her siblings, Cecil Edward Burchardt, Alice Burchardt and Martha Burchardt.
She is survived by: her children, Merry Oyenuga (Victor), John Martin and Carl Martin; her grandchildren, Ciana, Rome, Maxwell and Dexter Oyenuga; her siblings, Freida Mann, Joyce Runyan (Bruce), Henry Burchardt (Molly) and Lewis Burchardt; her sisters-in-law, Iva Cook (Richard) and Bernita Davis; and her grandchildren, Jasmine and Jarren Powell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.
