He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brookshire and Orene Brookshire (Bishop); his siblings, James, Dale, Raymond, Arlene, Ida May and Waldene; and his grandson Jeremy.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Doyle (Brenda) and Mickey Dean (Martha); his wife Barbara Johnston; his grandchildren, Brandon, James (Bonnie), Jennifer (Jared), Jacqulyn (Michael) and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Eli, Tucker, Dominik, Andrew, Virginia, Anabelle, Kaylee and Anastasha; his sisters, LaWanda and Dorothy; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce, James (Bonita) and Marvin (Celester). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith-Gallo Funeral Home (220 N 1st St, Guthrie, OK 73044). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Generations Church (2524 W Noble Ave, Guthrie, OK 73044).
