He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bateman and Orva Bateman (Elliott); and his siblings, James, John and Ruby Phifer.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Wheeler of Guthrie, OK; his children, Denis of Pocatello, ID and Pamela Harmon of Post Falls, ID; his stepson Paul Ferguson of Guthrie, OK; and his sister Retta Hare of Norcatur, KS. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren and many more family members and friends.
