He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Dean and Theresa Glenn Nelson (Humphrey). He is survived by: his children, Dawn Aaron (Doug) of Stillwater, Vince Nelson of Soda Ash, Mike Nelson (Charity) of Broken Arrow and Scott Nelson (Casey) of Coweta, Oklahoma; and his sister Susan Deem of Joplin, Missouri. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
