He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston "Buck" Smith and Mary Elouise Smith (Thompson); and his sister Kim Mattox. He is survived by: his children, Mary Councilman of Beggs, Oklahoma and Cheyenne Nichols of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Ashley (Dexton Hancock), Sydney Trail and Bailey Trail; and his siblings, Nelson Smith and Jennifer Kirk (Darrell) of Rose. He is also survived by Twin Oaks, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that are dearly loved, as well as a host of friends.
