He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob T. Bishop and Erma O. Giffin Bishop; his brothers, Waverly and Dan Bishop; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Bishop and Ralph Stites; and his nephew Tim Bishop.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Carter; his children, Chris (Kendra), Eric (Anna), Jeremy (Megan) and Melissa Osenton (Chad); his siblings, Roy Bishop, Les Bishop (Vicky) and Donna Stites; and his grandchildren, Javin, Gabbie, Mia, Kaleb, Kenzie, Ashton, Emma, Hope, Connor, Emersyn and Kenadee.

The family requests that visitors wear masks while attending the visitation and service.
