He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha (Ford) and Leslie; his wife Elizabeth Ann (Beck); and his brother Robert Krause. He is survived by: his father-in-law Walter Krause; and his children, Anita Davis and Kenneth Krause of Broken Arrow.
He later donated the land to the Ozark Plateau National Wildlife Refuge.
