He is survived by: his parents, Edward Schaapveld and Genevieve Schaapveld (Beach); his daughter Jamie Franklin (Kevin) of West Branch, IA; and his sisters, Sandra Schmitt (Stuart) of Mt. Ida, AR, Linda Wieskamp (Roger) of Iowa City, IA and Bea Hilsenhoff of Mahomet, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
