He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Redfearn and Ola Opal Redfearn (Desha); his wife Carolyn Redfearn; his siblings, Wanda Fountain, Edith York, Linda Kepner Franklin, Mary Ellen Layne, Wilburn, Fred and Blue Redfearn (Carrol); and his son-in-law Jonathan Yandell.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ulus Redfearn and Betty Redfearn Earhart; his daughters, Sandy Howard (Fred) and Dianna Yandell; his grandchildren, Kelly Martin (Drew), Joe Yandell (Amy) and Cassie Horath (Nate); his great grandchildren, Shelby Kirk (Ethan), Andrew, Landon Horath, Christopher, Noelle Yandell and Roland Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Davis (Bill) and Jim Pinkston (Jean). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John may be made to the Comforting Hands Hospice of Grove, OK, honoring his compassionate spirit.
