He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Johnson; his wife Madeline; his children, James Jr. and Jan Marie Sparks; his brother Sam; his granddaughter Danielle Gore; and his great grandchild Zavery. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
