He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Helms and Ruby Helms (Johnson); and his son Dave. He is survived by: his family, Grand Prosthetics, Orthotics Lightweight Artificial Limbs and Braces; his close friends, Progress, Leadership Grove and Paul Harris Fellow; his wife Beverly Helms; his sons, Andy Helms and Troy Helms (Amber); and his grandson Brady Helms of Grove.
