He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Marks Gaston and Veldonah Bartley Smith; his stepfather Wayne Smith; his wife Arlene Gaston; and his sisters, Donna Marie, Peggy and Linda.
He is survived by: his son Calvin; his daughter-in-law Angela Gaston of Grove, OK; his daughter Nicole; his son-in-law John Martin of Tiff City, MO; and his close friend Sue Foreman. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends.
