He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Juanita Rose Brown (Tarrant); and his sister Gay Mattingly. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann; his children, Rick Brown (Lisa), Pam Gross (Randy) and Chris Brown of Palm Bay, FL; his siblings, Bill Brown (Jeannie) of Choctaw, OK and Nina Smith of Las Gatos, CA; his grandsons, Michael Brown (Kelsha) and Michael Gross of Baytown, TX; his great grandchildren, Daxon Brown, Hartly Brown, Lance, Jaxon, Acelyn Wood, Natalie Wood, Kamri Wampler, Hunter Wampler, Garrett Wampler, Emery Carrea, Avery Carrea, Vivian Gray, Olivia Gray, Kayla Wood, Kami Wampler, Breanna Gray, Brittany Carrera and Ryne Messick; and his grandchildren, Kynzlee and Emilia. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
