He is survived by: his wife Thelma James; his sons, Shawn James, Darrell James Jr. and Omar James; his stepdaughter Disha Phillips; his daughters-in-law, Lucero James and Saba James; and his siblings, Danny James, Freddy James, Steven James, Margaret James, Brenda James and Renae James.
