He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Samuel "Sam" Christian and Mary Christian (Butler); his wife Mindora Christian (Kirkland); his children, Nora Arles, Rhonda Norris, Diana Ashley and Billy Wayne Christian; his grandchildren, Lloyd McDowell and Annie Arles; and his siblings, George Christian, Melvina Harrell, Evelyn Pierce, James Marvin Christian, Leroy Christian, Marie Norton, Donald Christian and Shirley Thornberry.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Dhabalt (Linda) of Burneyville, Paula McDowell (Frankie) of Loco and James M. Christian of Graham; and his sister Betty Carter of Graham. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
