He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Oliver Montgomery and Deethyia Montgomery; his wife Monica Striplang; his children, Banetha F. (Randall Briggs) and James Herman (Shannon Montogomery); his stepchildren, Michaela (Troy Clark) and Michael Shawn (J'Cinda Striplang); his brothers, Ricky Montgomery (Jill), Brett Montgomery (Teresa) and Donnie Montgomery (Eva); and his grandchildren, Ashlynn Briggs, Leyton Striplang, Beau Clark, Kolby Montogomery, Cassie Montgomery and Westin Montogomery. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
