He is survived by: his wife Deborah Emerson; his children, Danny, Bertie Emerson, Lana Smith, Anita Barnes and Crysti Myers; and his sister Darlene Colbert. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
