He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Mendenhall (Chandler); his sons, Daniel Shawn Mendenhall (Dusty Norman) and Christopher Mendenhall; his brother Sherman Mendenhall; and his nephew Paul Mendenhall.
He is survived by: his father Paul Mendenhall; his wife Regina Mendenhall; his children, Keith (Mary Ann Bell), Joseph Shane Mendenhall, Dana Mendenhall, Ray (Lisa Bell), Ashley (Matthew DeMarcus) and Jennifer; and his sister Marsha (Robbie Robertson).
