He was predeceased by: his parents, Buena Marie Shilling (Griffin) and Elmer Shilling; his son Sammy Shilling; and his stepson Duston Jackson. He is survived by: his former wife Kathy Elliott; his wife Brenda Shilling; his children, Natalie Wilson (Rob) of Elkhart, KS and Nathan Shilling of Elkhart; his stepdaughter LaFonda Harvey (Todd) of Taylor, TX; his sister Elnor Harland of Texhoma; his niece Tina Harland of Liberal, KS; and his nephew Ron Harland (Cheryl) of Guymon. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Sam can be made to the OPSU Rodeo Team or the Texhoma Cemetery Fund.
