He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston Lafate and Katy Katherine Barnes Jewell; and his siblings, Ralph Jewell, Henry Jewell, Jack Jewell, Wilburn Jewell, Houston Jewell, Nina Treat and Gracie Triplett.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Jewell of Golden, Oklahoma; his son Lloyd; his daughter-in-law Thelma Jewell of Golden, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Christy (Scott Detwiler), Josh (Felicia Jewell) and Jeremy (Sarah Jewell); and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Alydia, Hannah, Abbi, Austin, Gracie, Lillie, Carter and Xaden. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel (500 N Park Dr, Broken Bow, OK 74728). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Watsons Memorial Cemetery.
