William Fikes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Fikes of Geronimo, Oklahoma, born in Brady, Texas, who passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Lawrence and Julia Marie Fikes; his brother Billy Jack Fikes; and his nephew Billy Ross Lemons. He is survived by: his wife Margaret of Geronimo; his sons, Greg Ressel (Elizabeth) of Duncan, Mark Fikes (Tamra) of Marlow and Cory Fikes (Amy) of Grandfield; his grandchildren, Tyler Fikes (Savannah), Kyle Ressel, Katie Verser (Casey), Cody Ressel, Lindsey Hintz (John), Kalyn Bower (Brian), Nathan Fikes, Tanner Ressel (Sarah) and Bradyn Fikes; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Noah, Rebekah Fikes, Claire, Caleb Verser and Cleo Ressel; and his siblings, Gerald Fikes of Odessa, Louise Rhodes of Lawton, OK and Barbara Lemons of Brownwood, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, January 18 at 2pm at Highland Cemetery in Lawton, OK, in observance of current COVID restrictions.
Memorial contributions can be made in loving memory of William Eugene Fikes to MD Anderson, who he credited with saving his life – three times.
