He was predeceased by: his fathers, James Shawn and Bobby Shawn. He is survived by: his wife Diane Shawn of Gage, Oklahoma; his children, Annesa Abernathy (Daniel) of Liberal, Kansas, Karen Newton (John) of Laverne, Oklahoma and Travis Shawn of Gage, Oklahoma; his granddaughters, Samantha (Baylee) of Liberal, Allison Herrington of Liberal, Heidi Shawn of Shattuck and Mica Carnagey of Laverne, Oklahoma; and his great grandchild Braelynn Smith of Liberal, Kansas.. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister along with many nieces and nephews.
