She was predeceased by: her parents, Bettye Joyce McPherson, Sr. (Gibbs) and Joe McPherson; her daughter Sarah Elizabeth Owens of Lawton; her siblings-in-law, Charles Soloman, LeRoy Owens, Kenneth Owens, Mary Ann Roden, Gladys Thornton and Esther Reinoehl; and her close friends, Jimmy and Karen Tyler.

She is survived by: her husband Henry Owens; her son David Owens (Kimberly) of Frederick, Oklahoma; her siblings, Joe Jack McPherson (Charlotte) of Frederick, Oklahoma and Judy Soloman of Dumas, Texas; her grandchildren, Mia Owens, McKinley Owens, Olivia Owens and Liam Owens; her nieces, Betsy McPherson, Heather Brockreide, Amy Tinney and Gina Soloman; her nephew Jay McPherson; her brothers-in-law, Keith Owens and David Owens; and her close friends, WeDonna Covington Flores, Maha Sultan, Awuley Quaye, Erick Barnett, Haley Cavender and Jesse Flores. She is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
