He is survived by: his parents, Audie Wayne Carter and Kandi Townsend; his aunts and uncles, Danny Lee Walton, Edward L. Stanley, John Shifflett, Kathy L. Stanley and Dorothy Wheatley; his siblings, Brian Carter, Zach Carter, Allen Petree, Austin Petree, Briauna Carter, Jasmine Kraus, Jessica Barton and Cheyenne Petree; his grandparents, Robert Petree, Sr., Gail Petree (GiGi), Donald (Pawpaw) and Tina Creed (Nana); and his significant other Iver Brunson. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, other family and friends he considered his brothers.
