With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William R Griffith formerly of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, born in Relief, North Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Conway Griffith and Dolly Griffith (Cooper); his son Bill; his wife Shirley Greenwood; his siblings, Tomy, Halvie, Charlie and Ann Lee; and his friends, Robert Lockhart Sr. (Chief), Howard Priest and Ed Harrison.
He is survived by: his brother Bill; his children, Schymani McCall (Allen) and Monty Griffith of Lawton; his grandsons, Nathan Griffith of Lawton and Matthew McCall (Ginny); his siblings, Clyde Griffith (Charlyne), Walter Griffith (Pam), Jimmy Griffith (Dianne), Lucille Griffith, Virginia Griffith Hoyle (James) and Lola Griffith Nelson; his sister-in-law Joan Griffith; his niece Sharon Greenwood Joiner (Roy); his friend Mary Harrison; and also, Seth Rogers, Kenneth, Paul, Jimmy and Auto Salvage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or locally to the City of Lawton Animal Shelter.
