He is survived by: his wife Raynetta Checotah (Southerland) of Fort Gibson, OK; his grandchildren, Sarah Checotah of Sapulpa, OK, Dalton Checotah of Sapulpa, OK and Jacob Checotah of Muskogee, OK; and his nephew Kevin Wellfare (Jean) of Edmond, OK.
