He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Sherrill Preston and Lorena Blanton Preston; his daughter Teresa R. Owens; his great grandchild Clara Renae Gardner; his wife Sara Huggins Preston; and his great grandchild Clara Garnder.
He is survived by: his children, John R. Preston, Jr. (Ron), Lolly Lyman (Ben) and Aaron R. Preston; his grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel Owens, Katye Gardner (Mark), Missy Preston, Hansen Lyman, Tressa Rochester (Jarren), Preston Lyman (Naomi), Shayla Morales (Jackie), Eliza King (Jacob) and Robison Lyman; and his great grandchildren, Fox Gardner, Adelia Rochester, Lyla Rochester, Ben Rochester and Miriam Rochester.
