It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe A. Bowden of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, born in Boynton, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 16, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bowden and Eva Bowden (Brantley); his wife Mary Elizabeth Bowden; his son Ronnie Bowden; his siblings, Irene Bowden, Melvin Bowden, Lucielle Turney, E. K. Bowden, Bonnie Arnold-Phillips and James Bowden; and his great grandchild Maven Russell.
He is survived by: his daughter Helen Soto of Heavener, OK; his grandchildren, Bethany Russell, Lance Bowden, Jennifer Voyles, Santos Soto, III, Cecelia Soto and Katelyn Jochims; and his siblings, Joyce Steveson, Wanda Cook, Lawrence Bowden and Bobby Bowden. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
