It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Afra Georgatos of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph C. Shriner and Ailene Mardell Merchen (Merchen); her husband Robert Ray Georgatos; and her former husband Russell Paul Wingerd. She is survived by: her daughter Marilyn Smith (Rob) of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Kayleigh Haddan (Justin) of Texas and Zachary Smith of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; her great grandchild Jameson Haddan of Texas; her stepson Robert W. Georgatos (Mitzie) of Andrews, Texas; her stepgrandson Nathan Strong (Amber); her stepgreat-granddaughter Alexa of Bakersfield, California; her stepgranddaughter Erica Bensusen (Anthony); her stepgreat-grandsons, Cayden, Codey and Corey of Bakersfield, California; and her brother Rudolph "Butch" Shriner (Raejean) of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
