He is survived by: his brother Jimmy; his friend Dick Elms; his sons, Gary Smythe (Carla), Jon Smythe and Joe Smythe (Michelle); his grandchildren, Meme, Brian, Jonah and Jamie; and his daughter-in-law Michelle. He is also survived by cousins and great nieces, nephews and many friends.
