He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Thomas and William Douglas "Bill" Thomas; his daughter Heidi Grace Thomas; and his siblings, Virginia, Ginger, Brummett, William Charlie "Billy" Thomas, Josephine Ellen "Jo" Hupp, James Jefferson, Cotton, Thomas, George Edward "Sam" Thomas, Lillie Mae Hawkins, Wilma Jean Lefever, Richard Dean "Dickie" Thomas, Catherine "Katie" Kielty, Augustine, PeeWee and Cole.
He is survived by: his significant other Christel Haffel; his daughter Martina Erika Polaske; his grandchildren, Benjamin Roy Abend, Vanessa Roxanne Abend, Monika Martina Stahle, Helen Grace Stahle and Kevin Polaske; his sister Dixie Geraldine "Squirrel" Kiley; and his niece Mary Katherine "Kathy" Spaulding. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews; and many cousins, great nieces and nephews, special friends.
